Troy brings a wealth of experience to his leadership role at xMatters. Prior to founding xMatters, formerly AlarmPoint Systems, he served as the President & COO and COO & CFO of two successful start-ups, where he oversaw all marketing, sales, development, M&A and financial aspects of the companies. Previously, Troy was a Strategic Management Consultant with AT&T Solutions and Andersen, where he gained insight into enterprise priorities and structures. His expertise also includes process automation, strategic initiatives, and corporate strategy. Troy's domain experience includes IT Service Management, IT Strategy, and several vertical markets including high technology, banking and finance, consumer, and retail industries. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University at Sacramento.

Eiad Abunimeh, VP Advisors

Eiad brings over 20 years of technical sales experience in enterprise software.  Eiad comes to xMatters from CA Technologies where he spent the last 5 years leading the Customer Solutions Architects and a newly established Customer Success teams.  Prior to CA, Eiad led pre-sales teams at HP Software, Mercury Interactive and a few other smaller and startup software firms.   Eiad holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of North Texas.

Roberto Ayala, VP of North American Sales

Roberto brings over 20 years of senior sales experience in enterprise software to xMatters. He joined xMatters in 2009 as the AVP of Western Sales and Latin America, where he consistently was a top-performing sales executive. Previously, Roberto was a Sales Director responsible for the Western Region and Latin America at Mercury Interactive. Prior to Mercury, he was SVP of Sales at Comdisco, Inc. and Senior Account Executive at EMC. Roberto holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College.

Randi Barshack, Chief Marketing Officer

What matters to me?

"Technology is only as good as our comprehension and usage of it. I’m passionate about using storytelling to translate technical innovation into practical usage. Nothing is more empowering for a prospect or client than being able to harness the power of innovation in their everyday jobs. As head of marketing, I’m fortunate enough to lead a team that uses their creativity to connect the dots between technical advancement and practical usage. As CMO, Randi oversees all marketing activity including marketing strategy, corporate marketing, lead generation and product marketing. Prior to joining xMatters, Randi worked as VP, Marketing at API management company Mashery, Inc. (acquired by Intel in April 2013.) Previously, Randi  oversaw marketing for Mercado Software, a provider of SaaS-based eCommerce search and merchandising technology (acquired by Omniture) and was a co-founder and VP, Marketing of SAP's first spin-off, TeaLeaf (acquired by IBM). Randi graduated from Dartmouth College and has a joint International MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and University of Tel Aviv’s Recanati School of Business.

Nick DeSimone, VP of Service Assurance

What matters to me?

"I’m responsible for making sure that our clients are happy with our products. We put smiles on their faces starting on day one, and I make sure those smiles never turn into frowns. Helping our clients stay relevant, profitable, and competitive by using our products is what matters to me.

Prior to joining xMatters, Nick spent almost four years as the Senior Manager of Spend Visibility at Ariba Software, where he helped build their first on-demand business from the ground up. Additionally, he has held the positions of Director of Support Operations at Vignette and Director of Worldwide Support at OnDisplay, where he helped drive the company to IPO. Nick holds a B.S. in Materials Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Desi DosSantos, VP of Product Strategy

What matters to me?

“I’m responsible for making all the pieces fit – I match our product with our clients’ needs. My job is to help our clients put the puzzle together to reveal the benefits of using our relevance engines across their organization. Successfully building the big picture by providing the right product pieces for our clients is what matters to me.

Recognized as an industry pioneer in automation and communications solutions, Desi lends valuable expertise to his leadership role in product development at xMatters. During his 20-year tenure in the Enterprise Systems Management industry, he successfully implemented large-scale automation initiatives at Bank of America, ROLM Communications, Siemens Business Communications, and IBM San Jose. Desi has led efforts in IT notification and response technologies. He often speaks on the topic of Automation Initiatives in Computer Operations, Data Center Automation, Help Desk Operations, Systems Support, Database Administration, Network Operations, and Data Center Layout and Design.

Tobias Dunn-Krahn, VP of Engineering

What matters to me?

“I’m the brains behind the development of new relevance engines, so I have to stay on top of changes in technology business, while considering the impact of these changes on our clients. I eat, sleep, and breathe relevance engines, and I’m always thinking of ways to build solutions that are relevant and responsive. Creating relevance engines that make our clients matter more to their customers is what matters to me.

Tobias joined xMatters in 2005 after spending over six years in software development, team leadership, consulting, architecture, recruiting, and training. Using his background in distributed computing, scalability, and optimization on the Java Platform to grow within xMatters, he has evolved from an individual contributor to VP of Engineering. Tobias graduated with honors from the University of Victoria with a bachelor’s degree in Combined Computer Science and Mathematics.

Abbas Haider Ali, CTO

What matters to me?

"Spreading the gospel. That means in depth workshops with clients to map out quantitative and qualitative benefits of using relevance engines for different parts of their business – IT, disaster recovery, business continuity, customer communications, or any other business process. Working with analysts, media, and speaking at industry events rounds out what I do. Discovering and sharing real world stories of the value of relevance engines to our clients is what matters to me.

Abbas brings over 15 years of experience across a wide range of domains including network topologies, cloud-based services and multi-modal communications. In his capacity as CTO of xMatters, Abbas is responsible for evangelizing the adoption of communications-enabled business processes. He has worked closely with over 400 leading global organizations creating the vision for adopting intelligent communication strategies in virtually every imaginable scenario from IT service desks to Business Continuity departments to broader employee populations to automated customer communication channels. Most recently, Abbas has been a frequent speaker and author on topics related to communications throughout mobile employee bases and machine to human communications as they relate to the burgeoning field of the Internet of Things. Prior to xMatters, Abbas was the VP of Product Strategy at Managed Objects (now Novell BSM), and AVP of Pre-Sales Engineering at OPNET Technologies. Doug Peete, VP of Product Management

What matters to me?

“I’m the middle man who shouldn’t be cut out − I work with clients and prospects to understand their challenges; then I work with our engineering team to develop solutions. I help our clients figure out what they need in order to be relevant to their customers, and then speed them towards long term success with our products. Grasping both the challenges our clients face and the technology we can offer to meet their needs is what matters to me.

Doug’s role as Vice President of Product Management is backed by over 15 years of experience in system architecture, product management, and engineering. Doug has worked for enterprise software firms specializing in ERP, ETL/EAI, and content management, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences worldwide. His background includes systems architect responsibilities at PeopleSoft, Vignette, and OnDisplay, as well as technical presales management for Softface and AlarmPoint and product management at Ariba. Doug holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

Teon Rosandic, VP of EMEA

What matters to me?

"I'm responsible for every aspect of our business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Delivering fundamental business benefits to our existing and new clients throughout the world is what matters to me."

As the VP of EMEA Teon is responsible for all of our EMEA operations including sales, market development, alliances, and PR. Previously Teon was the Head of UK Sales and was also a Strategic Account Director at xMatters, where he successfully developed many of the region’s cornerstone clients. Prior to xMatters, he worked at various companies in senior management and sales roles including Marimba Software, now BMC Software, Gartner and Computeraid, now Getronics, as well as founding two successful software and services startups. Teon attended the University of South Africa where he received a Bachelors of Commerce degree as well as attended the University of London for a Bachelors of Science in Computing and Management.

Cindy Sauvignon, VP Alliances

What matters to me?

"I spell partners with a capital “P”. My job is to help ignite the creative juices of my partners to design game changing solutions using xMatters that help save or make their customers’ money, even save lives. Co-developed solutions that make my partners more profitable while delighting their customers is what matters to me."

Cindy Sauvignon joined xMatters as VP, Alliances in 2013 with over 16 years of Executive Channel Sales and Programs experience from leading companies such as ParAccel, Meru, Nuance, Trend Micro, Palm, Sun and Novell. Prior to her channels experience, she spent 10 years in Enterprise Sales roles in the US and UK. Cindy most recently was VP, Global Channel Sales for ParAccel, an innovator in the Big Data Analytics space. She was award a CRN Channel Chief award in 2011 and spent almost six years with Nuance running WW Channels for the Enterprise division driving relationships with companies such as Avaya, Genesys, Cisco, Nortel, Verizon and AT&T. Nuance was under $60M in sales when she joined in 2004 and in FY09, they achieved the $1B mark. She has a bachelor’s degree from California State University at Northridge.


Mark Westover, Chief Financial Officer

What matters to me?

"I’m responsible for our finance and back office, driving the company’s through continued growth and maturity with new rounds of funding and strategic acquisitions. Being easy to do business with and providing shareholders and internal stakeholders insight into the business is what matters to me."

Mark brings over 20 years’ experience in cloud and software technology to xMatters. He joined xMatters from LiveOps, where he was senior vice president of corporate development and finance. Previously, Mark was a vice president of corporate development at Sybase. Prior to Sybase, he was a manager at KPMG Consulting and district manager at AT&T. Mark holds a MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Mathematics from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Jule Zacher, VP of Client Services

What matters to me?

"I grew up selling shoes in the family business. It made me aware of how important it is to understand each client’s unique need and have fun fulfilling it.What matters to me is the client experience.

Jule joined xMatters in 2007 as a Senior Consultant, bringing her experience in managing large IT deployments, process, and client management skills. Her experience helped her manage the largest xMatters on premises and on demand implementations and her leadership has helped xMatters evolve into the company it is today. She’s spent her career consulting with a strong back ground in database design and search engines,most recently at Verity, where she handled the NYC region. Jule graduated from Principia College and holds a degree Computer Science.
