Video & Training Content Developer

Victoria or Vancouver BC

The Position

xMatters is looking for a media producer with skills in video production to help our content and training teams in their mission to produce engaging content. You’ll work with our product managers, communicators, and marketers to create compelling product value and training content that reflects our voice, tone, and culture. If you have a keenly creative mind and the ability to show product benefits in a relatable way through video, we want to hear from you.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Working with SMEs and stakeholders to identify training needs
  • Conceptualizing, storyboarding, and scripting engaging video content
  • Collaborating closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content
  • Producing content from concept to deliverable – including recording and editing video and sound projects (skills in professional editing programs such as Adobe Premiere/After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Avid, or equivalent, are an asset; on-the-job training is available for specific workflows)
  • Developing and maintaining online certification programs for clients and partners
  • Keeping content on learning learning portals current

Your Education, Experience, and Personality

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years experience designing and developing client-facing video content and/or online learning content
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and simply to non-technical people
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, a passion for learning, and a highly-collaborative mindset
  • Experience in video editing, audio editing, graphic design, and motion graphics (you need any two of the latter, and get bonus points for each extra skill!)
  • Knowledge of professional production workflows and media handling
